Vanessa Thomas has an advanced master’s degree in Cosmetic Science with over a decade of formulating experience that encompasses brand, generic, over the counter (OTC) and cosmetic products. She fully understands the product development process from product concept to scale-up manufacturing. She has worked with a number of leading brands and contract manufacturers to formulate hundreds of products. Vanessa Thomas is well known in the southeast region and is an active participant in the Florida chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Erika Owen was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She has a degree in special education and has worked as a teacher before joining us at Freelance Formulations. Erika has a passion for cosmetics and enjoys working in the lab on new and innovative projects.

Tania is dedicated to the success of our partnering brands past product development. Her passion is educating up and coming brands through the manufacturing and branding process.

Sharon Nurse is a Business Consultant with twenty years of experience. She majored in Business Marketing at Howard University and holds a master's degree in Communication in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Sharon has a love for all things beauty and fashion. Working at Freelance Formulations is the best of all worlds. "I have the opportunity to use my expertise in business to help young business owners and entrepreneurs grow their business." On the weekends, you will find Sharon in Sephora, Ulta or at a Beauty trade show, checking out the latest beauty brands and trends, in order to stay current in the industry.
