Our Clean Beauty Formulation Process
When you contact Freelance Formulations to help you create your clean beauty products, you can expect a professional, collaborative process as we work to make your dream a reality. The process usually takes anywhere from four to eight weeks, but it can be longer or shorter depending on how complex the project is.
Contact Form and NDA
The first step to creating your specialty formula with us is to fill out a contact form. On this form, you will fill us in on the specifics of your project. We want to know what kind of product you would like to create and whether you will require any additional services like product testing. When you fill out the form, you will also schedule your discovery call and sign a non-disclosure agreement. This agreement is in place to protect your ideas during the creative process.
Discovery Call and First Payment
The discovery call is a phone call with one of our representatives. During the meeting, you get to discuss your project in more detail. After the call, we will send you a service agreement. At that time, 50% of the project cost is due.
Formula Sample and Delivery
Within three weeks of your discovery call, we will send you the first sample of your product. For specialty formulas, you can ask for two adjustments to your product. Once you approve the final formula and send the final payment, we will send the formula to you.
After you have your finished formula, we can help you find a manufacturer to make your product. If you would like help promoting your product and your business, we can also connect you with a branding and design team.
